Our History

Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited was established on September 1st, 1953 under the name ETO Insurance Limited . The office is located at No. 301 Chareonkrung Road, Pomprap Sub-district, Phranakhon Province Bangkok. The company was led by Brigadier General Praman Adireksan who was head of the Registration committee whilst in the post as Deputy Minister of Transport and the Executive Director of the Express Transportation Organization of Thailand (ETO) with the registration capital of 3 millions baht for the operation of car insurance related business.

Experience

1953

Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited was established on 1st September

By the leadership of Brigadier General Praman Adireksarn (his rank at that time) under the name of E.T.O. Insurance Company Limited
(The Express Transportation Organization of Thailand), conducting car insurance business.

1954

ETO Insurance Limited under the State Patronage

In 1953 the government of Thailand under Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram announced their patronage for the ETO Insurance Limited which was the first and only insurance company to receive such honor from the government at the time.

1971

Set forward to a full service insurance business.

The company continuously progressed in the insurance business. Our proficient growth in the business has prepared us to expand our business operations into a complete insurance service and up to international standard by adhering to our philosophy of responsibility and transparency in our business operation according to the Non-Life Insurance Act.

1995

Joint venture with Krungthai Bank and renamed to Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited.

The unstoppable growth has prepared the company to expand our service and strengthen the business. On August 1st 1995 the company had agreed to a joint venture with Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited, Thailand’s top of the list of banks, renowned for stability. Krungthai Bank PCL holds a 40 percent share of the registered capital of 100 million baht. The company then registered and renamed Krungthai Panich Insurance Company Limited.

2007

Expansion of the foundation of stability. Increase of registered capital. Krungthai Bank increases share holding.

Due to the company’s readiness and stability, with business plans,the company has expanded the business further to accommodate the demand in the insurance market at the time. Therefore, the company increased the registered capital to 110 million baht which increased Krungthai Bank shares to 45 percent.

2009

Reinforce customer confidence. Building a new head office building.

A testament to the company business stability, the company started the construction of the head office building called KPI Tower with 24 storeys offer usable area of 24,000 sqm located at KPI Tower No. 1122 on New Petchburi Road, with the objective to provide smooth service and reinforce the our customers’ confidence, partners, business partners, and the public.

2012

The Company Registered as Krungthai Panich Insurance Company Limited

On June 1st 2012 the company proceeded registering and transferred from the state patronage company to public company limited adhering to the Non-Life Insurance Act (No.2) 2008, Chapter 6, Section 2 which stated that the insurance company that was a company limited must be transferred into a public limited company effective from the time of the announcement of the Act on February 5th 2008.The special agenda has been approved by the company board members during the 59th general annual meeting to register and transfer the company from Krungthai Panich Insurance Company Limited to Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited.
